SLU hosts 2nd National UNHCR Philippines CPath Gathering of Rohingya refugee-scholars

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) – Philippines and the Philippine Government, through the Department of Justice – Refugees and Stateless Persons Protection Unit (DOJ-RSPPU), conducted the 2nd National Complementary Pathways (CPath) Gathering of Rohingya refugee-scholars from 7 to 10 January 2025 at the American Corner Baguio, 4th Floor, Msgr. Charles Vath Building, SLU Main Campus, Bonifacio St., Baguio City.  

SLU hosts first Kapihan in CAR

Saint Louis University welcomed the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF), commonly known as Pag-IBIG Fund– through the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) and Philippine Information Agency (PIA)– for the conduct of its first Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas on 20 November 2024 held at the Gevers Hall, SLU Main Campus, Baguio City.

SLU bags awards at 50th Philippine Business Conference and Expo

Louisians from the Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Accountancy, Management, Computing, and Information Studies (SAMCIS) took center stage to claim prestigious awards at the 50th Philippine Business Conference and Expo held on 22 October 2024, at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Pasay City. Two SLU entries emerged victorious in the Business Idea Development Award (BIDA): PawPaw’s Deli was named Grand Champion in the Non-Food Category, while Pawsitivity earned 2nd Place in the Service Category. 

BSP Deputy Governor talks on consumer protection, anti-financial account scamming

Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) visited Saint Louis University (SLU) for a discourse about new banking legislations– Financial Consumer Protection Act (FCPA) and Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act (AFASA)– in order to promote awareness among financial consumers on their rights and obligations under the law, particularly amidst growing fraud cases.
