To create an avenue where the Louisian community can connect with peers, talk about their concerns and positive coping mechanisms, or simply check up on each other, the Saint Louis University (SLU) Guidance Center organized a “Kwentuhan” Session at the Guidance Center lobby and the Satellite Office at Maryheights Campus last 25 October 2022.
The activity entitled “Hilom: Taglay mo ang Giting ng Iyong Pag-ahon” offers a supportive and caring environment for students, promoting mental health and reinforcing CICM advocacy for “Peace”. The “kwentuhan” session was made fun and creative to encourage students to interact and form bonds.
For more than two years in the pandemic, the physical and social distancing protocols made it challenging for most students to establish positive and meaningful relationships with others. The session intended to aid Louisian students with their return to in-person classes after their mental health was significantly impacted.
