Saint Louis University attended and contributed significantly to the recently held ANTENA Final Conference held on 22-23 November 2022 at De La Salle University in Taft Avenue, Manila. The ANTENA Team of SLU includes Dr. Roberto M. Arguelles, the Vice President of Academic Affairs; Dr. Mary Grace P. Carrido, the Director of the External Relations, Media & Communications and Alumni Affairs Office (ERMCAA); Dr. Stephenie Busbus, the Graduate Program Coordinator for Teacher Education Programs at the School of Advanced Studies; and Dr. Felina P. Espique, the Dean of the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts.
At the conference, SLU was represented by Dr. Mary Grace Carrido, Dr. Stephenie Busbus, and Prof. Andrew Macalma, the University Registrar of SLU.
With the theme, “Strengthening Policies and Partnership for the Internationalization of Education in Philippine HEIs,” the ANTENA Final Conference aims to boost the visibility of PHL In-Net at the national level, increase its membership and support, disseminate information on the project, promote the IROs created, present the results of the project achieved to date, and most importantly, promote dialogue on internationalization of higher education at the national level and induce policy making and funding.
One of the highlights of the ANTENA Final Conference is the Reciprocal Membership Agreement Signing between the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and PHL In-Net. Dr. Carrido is one of the witnesses of the signed agreement on behalf of Saint Louis University, solidifying its commitment to support the internationalization of Philippine higher education.
In addition, during the conference, Dr. Busbus talked about the ANTENA experience of SLU. On the other hand, aside from being the conference’s master of ceremonies, Prof. Andrew Macalma gave the synthesis of the sessions.
The Final Conference was held in a hybrid form. Along with European partners and Philippine experts, the ANTENA partners and PHL IN-NET Member Institutions shared their experience on internationalization and regarding the ANTENA project.
