CHED-CAR invited Saint Louis University to receive the recognition awards during the 2022 Gawad Parangal and 2023 New Year’s Call at the Teng-ab Pastoral Center in Bontoc, Mountain Province last 20 January 2023.
The said event celebrates the accomplishments of Higher Education Institutions in CAR, especially their excellent contributions to research publication and mentoring, vaccination, interventions, and professional licensure examinations. It was also a day to confirm the partnerships of HEIs and their support to continually aim for excellence in education and service in the Cordillera as the Regional Office launches its 5-Year development Plan coined as PROJECT CHAMP or Cordillera Higher Education Aims and Medium-Term Plan.
On behalf of the University, Dr. Allan Jay C. Espiritu and Engr. Caroline B. Moncada, the Associate Deans from the School of Nursing, Allied Health, and Biological Sciences, and School of Engineering and Architecture, respectively, received the awards for the following notable accomplishments of Saint Louis University:
- For being the Top 1 Performing School during the January 2022 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination
- For being the Top 3 Performing School during the April 2022 Electronics Technician Licensure Examination
- For being the Top 4 Performing School during the October 2022 Electronics Technician Licensure Examination
- For being the Top 1 Performing School during the November 2022 Pharmacist Licensure Examination
- For being the Top 1 Performing School during the November 2022 Nursing Licensure Examination
- For being the Top 2 Performing School during the December 2022 Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination
- For producing top notchers during the aforementioned licensure examinations
- For rendering facilities during the vaccination initiatives of the government
- 3-star rating given by the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings as #103 in South-Eastern Asia and #651-700 in the top 1,500 universities in Asia; and
The honorary awards embody the university’s vision, mission, and core values, showing true excellence and competence in meeting international education standards.
