Fourth-year Entrepreneurship students of the School of Accountancy, Management, Computing, and Information Studies (SAMCIS) of Saint Louis University (SLU) were invited to sell and promote their businesses at Silang Building, Main Campus, on 6 March 2023, in line with SLU’s Wellness and Family Day. The event provided a valuable opportunity for the students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and connect with potential customers.
SLU’s Wellness and Family Day is an important event that promotes the health and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and their families. The event provides a range of activities and resources that support physical, mental, and emotional wellness.
The fourth-year entrepreneurship class, ECC 421, sold and promoted their businesses at the event. This provided valuable learning opportunities for them to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. Students gained experience in marketing, sales, and customer service. They also had the opportunity to receive feedback from potential customers and to network with other entrepreneurs.
The event also increased engagement among students, faculty, staff, and the broader community. It allowed students to come together and participate in fun and healthy activities while supporting local businesses.
