by Medical Outreach Missions Fellowship Initiative
In celebration of the Feast Day of Our Lady of Atonement, the Medical Outreach Mission Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI) held a medical mission at Session Road in Baguio City on 9 July 2023.
MOMFI medical student volunteers and honorary members provided free medical consultations, patient education, medicines, ear cleansing and flushing, and visual acuity testing to the public, in supervision of Dr. Robert Tolentino, MOMFI faculty adviser.
A total of 168 patients were benefited by the medical mission, including 95 consultations and 73 blood pressure checks. The medical mission was able to target Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): Good Health and Wellbeing; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
This outreach mission is among one of the many ways that MOMFI is working to improve the health and well-being of Filipinos. Moreover, as a CICM missionary, this activity exemplifies the mission towards Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation.
