The PEAC 2023 In-Service Training for Senior High School Teachers was a success, benefitting 415 private senior high school teachers from CAR and nearby regions. Saint Louis University hosted In-Set Training at the helm of SLU President and PEAC-CAR Regional Program Director, Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales. The training was held on July 7-9, 2023, at the SLU Laboratory High School, Senior High School Building, Navy Base Campus.
During the training sessions, Dr. Estela Cariño, DepEd CAR Regional Director, monitored the conduct of the In-Set. This process ensures that the in-service training activities are at par with the regional and national standards, which supports SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 17 Partnership for the Goals.
PEAC co-implements the INSET under the Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education (GASTPE) program of the Department of Education. The collaboration between the educational institutions (SLU, PEAC, and DepEd) and educators of CAR fosters the CICM Advocacy of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation, as well as the CEAP JEEPGY Advocacies of Engaged Citizenship and Justice and Peace.
The PEAC 2023 In-Service Training for Senior High School Teachers was coordinated through the office of Dr. Joselito Gutierrez, PEAC CAR Regional Program Coordinator. In addition, PEAC NS, headed by Ms. Mayie Dimalanta, ensured the smooth and seamless implementation of training. Ms. Doris Fernandez Ferrer, PEAC Executive Director, has also been an inspiration to serve the region more.
The In-Service Training for SHS teachers immediately followed the 2023 PEAC In-Set Training for JHS teachers held on July 3-5, 2023.
