The National Service Training Program (NSTP) Department of Saint Louis University, in collaboration with the Community Extensions and Outreach Program Office (CEOPO), recently organized a comprehensive NSTP Training and Capability Building Program, NSTP Program Evaluation and Program Planning with Pilgrimage from 27 to 29 July 2023 at Balay Ilocos, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
The faculty in-service training was mostly workshop-based and aimed to improve the department’s operational processes and develop outputs that will significantly help ensure NSTP students’ social involvement and valuable learning experiences. A highlight of the workshop is the evaluation of the integration of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) into the NSTP 1 and NSTP 2 syllabi.
Another purpose of the training was to re-train the faculty members on Basic Life Support and First Aid Training, a mandatory or non-negotiable requirement for NSTP 2 students. All the objectives of the training program will help ensure the utmost satisfaction of the program’s valued customers, students trained to become productive, responsible, and God-loving citizens.
