SLU CEOPO conducts initial medical mission meeting with MOMFI

The Community Extension and Outreach Programs Office (CEOPO) of Saint Louis University conducted the initial medical mission meeting on 7 May 2024 with Dr. Roberto Tolentino, the Medical Outreach Missions Fellowship Initiative (MOMFI) adviser, and students. The said meeting aimed to bring together medical professionals and students to discuss the upcoming mission and its objectives.

SLU empowers Banangan Women of Sablan, Benguet during the  7th CICM Friendship Meet

The Banangan Women from Banangan, Sablan, Benguet, made significant strides in their community through entrepreneurship and craftsmanship,  showcasing their culinary talents during the 7th CICM Friendship Meet held from 19-23 February 2024, in Saint Louis University. This event did not only highlight their skills but also emphasized the importance of local women in fostering community engagement and economic development through innovative food products and traditional recipes.

SLU Partners with NCIP, IPs to Promote Coffee Tourism in Benguet

Saint Louis University (SLU) has taken a step in enhancing its Community Extension Program through a partnership with the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples-Cordillera Administrative Region (NCIP-CAR) and the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) of Sitio Domolpos, Tinongdan, Itogon, Benguet to promote coffee tourism in the region held on 19 October 2023.

With the theme Eco-Consciousness and Technology: Exploring Sustainable Living in the Digital Era, Saint Louis University’s (SLU), through its University Research and Innovation Center (UnRiC), Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), and CICM Community Extensions and Outreach Programs, hosted the City Government of Baguio-sponsored climate change summit at the Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, SLU, on 24 October 2023.

The Electrical Engineering (EE) Department of Saint Louis University School of Engineering and Architecture has taken a step towards addressing the safety concerns of Barangay Happy Hollow residents by conducting a pre-test assessment survey for the extension program, “Exploring the Use of Economical and Solar-Powered Street Lamps.”

SLU Extends its Reach, Launches Collaboration with Barangay Atok Trail for Hazard Mapping 

On 9 September 2023, the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) of Saint Louis University made great strides in community outreach and disaster preparedness by launching an extension program in collaboration with the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council  (BDRRMC) together with volunteers of Barangay Atok Trail. This initiative, facilitated through SLU’s Community Extension and Outreach Program Office (CEOPO), was implemented by faculty members of the Electronics, Civil and Geodetic Engineering Departments with the support and participation of the partner community led by Punong Barangay Hon. Federico B. Codley.
