Saint Louis University has been participating in the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week (RSTiW) with the theme “Siyensya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kabalikat sa Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Kinabukasan” from 27 to 29 September 2023 in Bangued, Abra.
Said event was spearheaded by the Department of Science and Technology – Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR).
For the duration of the three-day undertaking, the following completed research and innovation outputs are being presented by SLU through the University Research and Innovation Center (UNRIC):
- Coffee Drying Machine (SEA)
- Coffee Roaster (SEA)
- Benguet Coffee Project (Extension) (SAMCIS)
- Kappe Hub: A mobile application for coffee lovers with pointing mechanisms (SAMCIS)
- TaniKalusugan-BlockVax: A Digitized Immunization Records System using Blockchain Technology (SAMCIS)
- KaagapAI: An Automated Psychotherapy Text Analysis Tool (SAMCIS)
- E-Parada: A parking assistant mobile application (SAMCIS).
SLU’s involvement in this event has opened greater opportunities for the University to showcase its wide variety of innovative products and services.
Through DOST-CAR RSTiW Cordillera, contributions of innovation, science, and technology to the growth of the nation’s regions and encourages understanding and appreciation of the role that science and technology play in enhancing a number of societal areas, including agriculture, industry, health, education, among others has been highlighted.
