The University Information Office (UIO) of Saint Louis University embarked on a collaborative initiative with Mary Hill Retreat House aimed at enhancing its marketing strategies and social media presence to bolster its visibility and operational efficiency as a Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (CICM) Mission Center.
In a letter dated 17 February 2024, Fr. Geraldo Costa, CICM, outlined the request for collaboration, which the UIO responded to. The said project is planned to be executed in phases, beginning with the First Phase which covered the actual immersion and shoot from 22-23 April, 2024, at Mary Hill Retreat House, Taytay, Philippines and the production of marketing deliverables after.
During the initial phase, UIO staff engaged in immersion activities and gathered vital information through interviews with key stakeholders and staff members. Additionally, a photo and video shoot was conducted to capture the essence of Mary Hill, providing valuable content for marketing materials. This phase was crucial as it informed the development of effective marketing strategies and collaterals.
As a result of Phase One, the UIO produced Mary Hill’s official logo, social media templates, brochure, and AVP. These materials were turned over to the Mary Hill Mission Center through Fr. Costa.
Following this, the second phase, which has yet to be slated, will focus on obtaining feedback from stakeholders to further refine the produced materials. This phase may also include a training session aimed at equipping Mary Hill’s marketing staff with essential skills in content creation and digital marketing strategies.
This initiative represents a significant step towards fostering a more impactful presence for Mary Hill Retreat House in the community and beyond, aligning with the CICM mission to serve those seeking spiritual renewal and reflection. The collaboration also aligns with the United Nations Development Goals 17 (Partnership for the Goals), the CICM advocacy of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation, and the SLU core value of creativity.
