Saint Louis University (SLU) has again proven its commitment to innovation that positively impacts the society, industry, and students as it won big in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2024.
Announced on 07 June 2024, SLU clutched rankings in the following categories:
- No. 2 in Social Responsibility
- No. 5 in Industrial Application
- No. 8 in Student Support and Engagement
SLU was also hailed No. 162 in the overall Global Top 300 Innovative Universities.
“The World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) assesses higher education institutions’ real contributions to industry and society, highlighting innovative education, research, and engagement to society. Using 13 categories, it encompasses innovation targets and methods, offering a comprehensive measure of institutions’ creative contributions to societal advancement. The ranking aims to spotlight higher education institutions that excel in these innovative approaches, thereby inspiring advancements across the academic and societal landscape.”
Last year, SLU broke ground in the WURI 2023 for being No. 29 in Fourth Industrial Revolution, No. 40 in Industrial Application, No. 43 in Entrepreneurial Spirit; and Top 101-200 Global Innovative Universities.
SLU’s inclusion in the WURI 2024 is collaborative effort of the different units and stakeholders of the University under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD.
