To further engagement, collaboration, and international solidarity between and among students, faculty, nurses, doctors and researchers of Saint Louis University (SLU) and Third State Hospital (TSH) of Mongolia, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the parties’ authorized representatives.
Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD, SLU President and Dr. Oidov Batgerel, TSH Deputy Director of Academic and Collaboration signed the MOU on 14 July 2024 at the Yu Long Chinese Restaurant, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
The MOU came after the benchmarking in SLU by the TSH staff last year, said Fr. Sales. “In the near future, they will send their nurses to train in our hospital and also in our school,” he added.
Meanwhile, Dr. Batgerel expressed his gratitude and optimism towards the different areas of collaboration as having Mongolian nurses learn in SLU.
Aside from nursing, other fields such as medicine, advanced studies, and research are also eyed for potential establishment and operation of collaborative and cooperative academic and expertise exchange programs.
The MOU signing, which coincided with the SLU Management Development Program trip, was witnessed by the heads of offices of the University.
