Representatives from the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board of Geodetic Engineering (PRBGE) conducted an inspection and monitoring visit for the Geodetic Engineering Program of the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) of Saint Louis University (SLU) on 05 February 2025.
Held at the Dean’s Office of Dr. Otto Hahn Building, SLU Main Campus, the visit was hosted by the SLU SEA Faculty and administrators led by SEA Dean Engr. Jeffrey Des B. Binwag, and Head of Geodetic Engineering Department, Engr. Janice Kaye Aquino.
Hon. Epifanio D. Lopez, Chairman of the Board of Geodetic Engineering; Hon. Concurdio D. Zuniga, PRBGE Board Member; Hon. Randolf S. Vicente, PRBGE Board Member; Ms. Ivy D. Gayon, PRC Representative; and representatives from the Association of Geodetic Students were among the delegation.





The inspection and monitoring started with the acknowledgment of participants followed by welcome remarks from Engr. Binwag. This was followed by the opening remarks and presentation of the scope and procedure of inspection by Hon. Lopez.
Discussions focused on the benchmarking of recent projects of Geodetic Engineering Students, including curriculum enhancements and the on-the-job training of the students. Follow-up questions about partnerships with government agencies were also addressed.
The inspection and monitoring by the PRC, PRBGE signifies a collaborative effort for the enhancement of quality education in the field of Engineering. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 17 (Partnership for the Goals), this visit is a testament to SLU’s continuing progress in promoting lifelong learning opportunities, creating a new generation of skilled professionals.
