Driven by compassion and Christian spirit, and empowered by a shared vision of sustainable impact, the Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (YES) of Saint Louis University (SLU), in collaboration with the 4th Year BS Entrepreneurship – Business Implementation class, successfully conducted an outreach program titled Project Ambag Series: Hatid Suporta, Ani ng Pag-asa! in Tinongdan, Itogon, Benguet on 5 April 2025.
Since 2012, YES has consistently carried out Project Ambag, an initiative that supports local businesses, farmers, kids, and communities. This year 2025 the outreach is a continuation of that commitment to uplift lives and foster community development.
As part of the outreach, the Louisian Entrepreneurs extended vital agricultural tools, supplies and monetary donations to support the livelihood of our local farmers. What made this initiative even more impactful was that it directly benefited 13 farmer associations in Tinongdan: Gabakffa, Barangay Community Garden, Calbacifa, Palcifa, Baguang, Bifarka, Tinpo, Tongkalan, Saybuan Irrigators, Laadipo, Daadipo, P4mp, And The Tinongdan Young Farmers.

The source of funding was supported by YES, YES Advisers, six student-run BS Entrep BA 4th year businesses (Aftertaste, Cubie Coffee, Dalikan Espesyal, Indulge by Casa Cravings, Halinna Cafe and Samizza Snack Corner), together with individual donors who shared the same vision of helping. The profits earned by the student entrepreneurs through passion, creativity, and hard work were purposefully pooled together to give back to the hands that till our land, our farmers.
This meaningful initiative was anchored on the University’s core values and aimed at contributing to Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 1: No Poverty and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. The project served as both a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity and a practical expression of entrepreneurial compassion and leadership. (Article by Arabella M. Galang and Bernadette C.
