In partnership with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) and the Department of Education (DepEd), Saint Louis University (SLU) warmly welcomed delegates for the three-day 2025 In-Service Training (INSET) for Senior High School (SHS) teachers at the Fr. Gerard Decaestecker Building, Navy Base Campus starting on 27 until 29 June 2025.
With the theme, “Preparing SHS Teachers to Teach the Core Subjects of the Revised SHS Curriculum,” the training is geared at enriching the skills of SHS educators by being updated on the latest improvements in the curriculum.

SLU President and PEAC Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Regional Program Director, Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, PhD, happily greeted the participants in his message, emphasizing the crucial role of educators in shaping the students’ futures. “Your leadership and commitment are fundamental in ensuring that our schools not only meet but exceed the standards set forth by the Department of Education. By maintaining a focus on delivering quality education, you help uphold the integrity of our sector and provide our learners with the best opportunities for growth and development,” he stated.
Throughout the three days, 25 trainers from different private schools across the country will be sharing their expertise and knowledge on various topics to over two hundred teachers within the Region.
Twelve sessions are conducted simultaneously; each one focused on the subjects for the Senior High curriculum, namely: General Mathematics, Statistics and Probability, Earth and Life Science, Media and Information Literacy, English, Filipino, 21st Century Literature from the Philippines and the World, Physical Science, Introduction to Philosophy of the Human Person, Physical Education and Health, Personal Development, and Understanding Culture, Society and Politics.

Furthermore, it strengthens SLU’s commitment to promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) No. 4 (Quality Education), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
