The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on 02 July 2026 that a Louisian, John Paul Bassi Villanueva was among the topnotchers, ranking seventh with 87.60% rating, in the May 2026 Special Professional Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (SPLEPT) – Secondary Level.
The PRC also announced that 41 elementary teachers out of 99 examinees (41.41%) and 126 secondary teachers out of 187 examinees (67.38%) successfully passed the SPLEPT, which took place on 31 May 2026 in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan.
