Saint Louis University (SLU) President Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, CICM, represented by Joselito C. Gutierrez, PhD, participated in the Global Sustainable Development Goals Meeting of University Presidents of East Asia and the Pacific, conducted by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network online on 14 October 2026.
During the forum, SLU highlighted the institution’s commitment to sustainable development and environmental stewardship by sharing the university’s ongoing SDG and Laudato Si programs with regional academic leaders.
SLU’s involvement in the event directly aligns with the CICM core values of Justice, Peace, and Dialogue, while supporting Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Building on this commitment to regional synergy, the next meeting of university presidents will be held on 13 November 2026 at De La Salle University. (Article and Photos by J. Gutierrez)
