SLU inks partnership with Universitas Klabat, Indonesia

Saint Louis University (SLU), through the Office of Global Relations and Alumni Affairs (OGRAA) and the School of Advanced Studies (SAS), marked a landmark international linkages advancement by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Universitas Klabat (UNKLAB) of North Minahasa, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The signing ceremony took place on 11 June 2025 at the Alejandro Roces Board Room, Fr. Burgos Administrative Center, SLU Main Campus.

Chiang Mai Rajabhat University

SLU welcomes Chiang Mai Rajabhat University for academic collaboration 

Saint Louis University (SLU) welcomed delegates from the Chiang Mai Rajabhat University (CMRU), Mae Hong Son Campus, Thailand on 5 June 2025 for a meeting to explore academic collaborations and further strengthen ties between the two institutions. The parties met at the Alejandro Roces Boardroom, Fr. Jose Burgos Building- Administrative Center, SLU Main Campus.

Celebrating diversity and global engagement: SLU holds Internationalization Week 2025

Saint Louis University (SLU) held the opening ceremony of the five-day Internationalization Week on 5 May 2025 at Fr. Theophile Verbist Hall, SLU Main Campus. The event was organized by the Office of Global Relations and Alumni Affairs (OGRAA) and carried the theme, “NAVIgating Global Opportunities through Bridging Cultures, Crossing Horizons, and Celebrating Diversity.”

SLU hosts send-off ceremony for SEA-Teacher International Exchange Students

Saint Louis University-School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (SLU-STELA) hosted a send-off program for the inaugural group of International Exchange Students participating in the 10th batch of the SEA-Teacher Project, organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). This event occurred on October 18, 2024, at the P700 Perfecto Building in SLU’s Main Campus.

SLU Co-Hosts the 11th HCU Conference in Thailand: Research to Serve Society

On July 26, 2024, Saint Louis University (SLU) co-hosted the 11th Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) Conference in Thailand, marking another significant collaboration between the two institutions: HCU, Thailand and SLU, Baguio City Philippines. The event, themed “Research to Serve Society”, was co-organized by the University Research and Innovation Center (UNRIC) team of SLU, with six faculty members flying to Thailand to participate in the face-to-face conference and present their research papers.

Reflections on the SUSI 2024 Experience: A U.S. Department of State Initiative

It would be an understatement to say that growing into ourselves, both professionally and personally, happens when you take a big leap into the unfamiliar – unfamiliar places and unfamiliar people. I am quite sure that all eighteen of us as fellow scholars and cohort members from nine regions across the world knew how real this was during the 2024 Study of the United States Institute (SUSI) on Journalism, Technology, and Democracy hosted by Arizona State University (ASU).
