In its continued pursuit of academic excellence and community engagement, Saint Louis University (SLU), through the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA), conducted two of its three phases of Curriculum Quality Audit (CQA) Training for faculty members of Saint Louis College of Bulanao (SLCB).
In a significant step forward for academic excellence, Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Nursing, Allied Health and Biological Sciences (SONAHBS) achieved a significant milestone with its four programs having successfully completed the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
Geared at sustaining excellence, Saint Louis University (SLU) assessed the progress of the different units and offices vis a vis their annual targets during the Management Review (MR) for AY 2024-2025 held at the Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, SLU Main Campus, on 11 February 2025.
Saint Louis University conducted an ISO 21001:2018 Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) Project kick-off meeting from 14 to 15 January 2025 at the Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, Diego Silang Building, SLU Main Campus. The said meeting, organized by the University’s Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA), was a significant step in the University’s transition from ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems – QMS) to ISO 21001:2018.
With its mission and advocacy to strengthen the university’s Quality Assurance mechanism and remain steadfast in its strategic goals and directions, Saint Louis University (SLU) sent two of its administrative officials, Dr. Joselito C. Gutierrez, Executive Assistant to the President; and Mr. Hector L. Martin, Director of the Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA), to the 2024 AUN-QA (Asean University Network – Quality Assurance) International Conference in Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 11–14 December 2024.
The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) recommended Saint Louis University (SLU) Quality Management Head Dr. Roberto Arguelles, PhD as Team Chair and Chairperson of the committees for the Preliminary Survey Visit to the Master in Business Administration program of University of San Carlos – Downtown Campus (USC) on May 10-11, 2024 and Resurvey Visit to the Doctor of Business Administration, Master in Business Administration: Regular program and Master in Business Administration: Special Management program of Colegio de San Juan de Letran (CSJL) on October 4-5, 2024.
To mark a significant milestone in the pursuit of quality management, the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Closing Meeting was held at the Fr. Joseph Van den Daelen, CICM- Center for Culture and the Arts (CCA)Theatre on 15 March 2024. The said meeting culminated the rigorous assessments, insightful feedback, and forward-thinking strategies based on the findings from the recent audit visits to the various units and offices of Saint Louis University (SLU).
Cultivating lifelong quality management systems and learning processes, SLU conducted the 2023-2024 Midyear Management Review (MMR) with the heads of offices of the Academic, Administration, Audit, Finance, Hospital, and Mission and Identity clusters, organized through the Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA), on 27 to 28 February 2024 at the Fr. Francis Gevers Hall.
SLU Quality Management Executives Dr. Roberto M. Arguelles, Vice President for Finance and Quality Management Head, and Dr. Stephenie O. Busbus, Chair of Institutional Reputation and Effectiveness are resource persons in the Executive Conference of the Commission on Higher Education – Mindoro Oriental & Occidental, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan (CHED-MIMAROPA).
The Quality Management Head and Vice President for Finance of Saint Louis University (SLU), Dr. Roberto M. Arguelles, represented the University in the Survey Team Chairs’ Meeting conducted by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) on 18 August 2023.
