BAGGS unveils Lumikha: A Paint-for-a-Cause Journey of Hope and Art

The Baguio Association of Government Grantees and Scholars (BAGGS) hosted Lumikha: Hope through Art, a paint-for-a-cause held at SLU Incubator for Research, Innovation, and Business (SIRIB Center), Otto Hahn Building, Saint Louis University Main Campus. The event was held on 28 April from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The event aimed to foster creative thinking and promote social impact through the power of visual storytelling.

SLU holds 2024 Internationalization Week to foster cultural diversity, global engagement

Saint Louis University (SLU) held the opening ceremony of the four-day Internationalization Week organized by the Office of Global Relations and Alumni Affairs (OGRAA) on 23 April 2024 at the Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, Diego Silang Building, SLU Main Campus. With the theme, “Celebrating Diversity, Connecting Cultures,” international students, school administrators, faculty members and promoters of internationalization took part in the celebration of the pursuit and accomplishments of internationalization.

SLU holds 2024 iCREaTe to promote sustainable research and innovation

On 17 April 2024, Saint Louis University (SLU) held the opening ceremony of the two-day annual Innovation in Creative, Research, Extensions, and Technology (iCREaTe) through its University Research Innovation Center (UnRIC). Themed “Seeds of Sustainability: Cultivating Young Minds for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Impact: the event gathered the Lousian community to showcase their creative and innovative research outputs, fostering a sense of responsibility to contribute to global sustainability.

SLU hosts Third Regional Run for the MATATAG Curriculum Summit

Saint Louis University (SLU) opened the two-day MATATAG Curriculum Trainers Training, in line with the Third MATATAG Regional Run titled, “Capacitating the Private Education Sector for the Effective Implementation of the MATATAG Curriculum” organized by the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), Coordinating Council for Private Educational Associations (COCOPEA), and in partnership with REX Education and Department of Education (DepEd). 

SLU-BEdS finishes as Finalist in the National Science and Technology Fair 2024

Lara Annika Paula E. Namoca, a Grade 10 student at the Basic Education School (BEdS), emerged as a finalist in the National Science and Technology Fair 2024 (NSTF 2024), held at Sequoia Hotel in Parañaque City from 1-5 April 2024. Ms. Namoca represented the Cordillera Administrative Region after securing victory in the Regional Science and Technology Fair held in December 2023. In her category, Life Science Individual, 16 projects were submitted from different regions across the Philippines. Only eight projects qualified and advanced as the finalists in the competition. Mr. John Michael A. Guerzon served as her coach and research adviser.

IECEP-SLU SC ignites learning and community harmony with Project Spark

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Saint Louis University Student Chapter (IECEP-SLU SC) conducted their Outreach Program entitled “Project Spark: Illuminating Futures with a Festive Heart” on the 23 March 2024 at Helping Hands Healing Hearts Ministries of the Philippines Inc. located at Cosmos Street, Ciudad Grande, Subdivision Phase 1, Baguio.
