SLU Cultivates Minds and Empowers the Future in Benguet Outreach

Through the Office of the Internal Auditor (OIA), Saint Louis University (SLU) once again brought the spirit of service to life through its flagship outreach initiative, the Bright Start Program, with the theme: Cultivating Minds, Empowering the Future. The recipients for the academic year 2025-2026 are students, parents, and teachers of the Datakan Integrated School in Kapangan, Benguet.

The Philosophy Department of Saint Louis University’s (SLU) School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA), in partnership with the New Louisian Philosophical Society (NEOLOUPHIS), organized a lecture-workshop titled “Power and Accountability: How the Government Uses Its Power and Why Honesty Matters” on 29 October 2025 at Saint Francis Xavier Orientation Seminary, Baguio City.

Empowering Extension Leadership: SLU RISE Center joins Strategic Training on Impact Assessment and Science Communication

To strengthen institutional research and extension leadership, Laarni Natividad, PhD and Jeramie Molino, PhD of the Saint Louis University Research, Innovation, & Sustainable Extension (RISE) Center participated in two intensive training sessions held on 24-25 September and 16-17 October 2025, at ATI-CAR, Benguet State University Compound, La Trinidad, Benguet.

SLU Department of Philosophy launches QUEER Project and Project Innovation

In September 2025, the New Louisian Philosophical Society (NEOLOUPHIS), the student organization of the Department of Philosophy under the Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) formally launched its two new initiatives: “QUEER Project”—an acronym for Quality, Undergraduate, Engaged, Exploratory Research–  and “Project Innovation”. 

SLU Languages and Communication Department advances digital learning through In-Service Training

With the theme “Teaching Tomorrow: Integrating Cognitive Diversity and Intelligent Technology for Language and Communication Classrooms,” the faculty members of the Languages and Communication (LangComm) Department of the Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) gathered at the American Corner, Msgr. Charles Vath Library Building for the 1st Phase of their In-Service Training (INSET) held on 20 October 2025.

SLU NEOLOUPHIS and CCW conduct skill-building workshop on supporting vulnerable populations

On 21 October 2025, the New Louisian Philosophical Society(NEOLOUPHIS), the co-curricular organization of the Philosophy Department of Saint Louis University’s (SLU) School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) conducted a workshop seminar in collaboration with the SLU Center for Counseling and Wellness (CCW) with the theme, “Empowering Student Leaders: A Workshop on Building Skills for Supporting Vulnerable Populations.” 

SLU BA Communication launches Project MILAN in celebration of UNESCO Global MIL Week 2025

The Bachelor of Arts in Communication students of Saint Louis University’s (SLU) School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA), through the Communication Society (ComSoc), joined the celebration of UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week 2025 through the first phase of Project Media and Information Literacy Advocacy Network (MILAN) held on 20-22 October 2025 at the Diego Silang Building, SLU main campus.
