The research study conducted through the collaboration of the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) of Saint Louis University and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) resulted in the Municipality of La Trinidad’s resolution for the implementation of the project called Construction of La Trinidad — Baguio By-pass Road/Bridge from Cangas Bridge to Barangay Sto. Nino, Baguio City along Balili River, Located Within the Municipality of La Trinidad, Province of Benguet and Baguio City. The project amounts to five million pesos as proposed by the La Trinidad, Province of Benguet Provincial Board and the Baguio City Council manifested through Resolution No. 2022-128 and Resolution No. 564, series of 2022, respectively.
Isagami C. Cayme, CESE, the Officer in Charge (OIC) District Engineer of La Trinidad, Benguet, issued a letter on 26 April 2023 requesting a copy of the said study. The study served as a reference in the preparation of preliminary documents (such as the multi-year project profile, including indicative cost and total length, a map of the project’s alignment, and others) which was submitted to the Department’s Project Preparation Division for rapid assessment of the proposal and eventual allocation of funds for the new feasibility study (FS). The requested copy of the research will also form part of the project’s supporting documents.
