Officers and members of the Rotaract Club from the School of Medicine of Saint Louis University attended a Recollection Mass last 28 August 2023 held at the St. Scholastica Convent at Wagner Road Baguio City. The recollection is directed towards the three primary means to strengthen their Christian faith, starting with a Prayer (communicating, conversing, and communing with God), attending the Holy Mass regularly (as the Eucharist is the Crown of the Sacraments, signifying the true body and blood of Christ), and through Regular Confession (to be forgiven and to be healed). These are conducted to proclaim repentance, reconciliation and show contrition to God, leading to a state of grace and peace.
Additionally, this endeavor centers on five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SGD 4: Quality Education, SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
The solemn event was administered by Rev. Fr. Nathaniel “Nel” P. Baluda who had his Licentiate & Doctorate in Moral Theology at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome and obtained his Bachelor & Master of Science in Geology at UP Diliman. It was a time of opportunity to reflect, atone, heal, and start over, all the while strengthening our relationship with God.
