The Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (YES) of the School of Accountancy, Management, Computing and Information Studies (SAMCIS) initiated Entrep Blast, a pitch aimed at preparing 3rd year entrepreneurship students for their upcoming Business Plan Implementation in their 4th year.
The theme of this year’s Entrep Blast was “Exploring New Frontiers in Entrepreneurship,” allowing the entrepreneur to attain money from individuals who find his idea worthy of investment.
Entrep Blast was a valuable learning experience for students. It allowed them to practice presenting their business ideas to others and to receive feedback from experienced entrepreneurs. Students also gained valuable skills in research, market analysis, financial planning, and presentation skills.
The pitch competition also provided students with the opportunity to network with potential investors, mentors, and other business professionals. This networking could be valuable for students’ future careers.
