Delegates from Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP) headed by their Vice President for Academics, Dr. Gracel Ann Saban, visited Saint Louis University (SLU) for benchmarking initiatives on 4 April 2024, at the Fr. Francis Gevers Conference Hall, Diego Silang Building, SLU Main Campus.
The opening assembly commenced with the presentation and sharing of best practices by SLU unit heads and deans before dispersing to their respective departments to be visited. Immediately after, SLU representatives, spearheaded by the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Felina P. Espique, accompanied the AUP academic administrators as they visited the departments and offices across SLU campuses, including the laboratories and academic offices of each department and school.
Given their university’s commitment to excellence via innovation and holistic development, AUP requested to benchmark SLU to learn the best practices in the various departments, units, and areas of the University, including the goal of developing partnerships.
AUP is a self-governing university with Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities-Accrediting Council, Inc. (ACSCU-ACI) worldwide accreditation that offers 35 programs and prepares its students for academic excellence, excellent service, and a Christlike character.
With SLU’s established reputation of brilliance through laudable licensure examination results, local and global accolades and relations, together with academic excellence and innovative programs, the University has been an excellent benchmarking staple to many universities to this day. This attests to the standard for excellence of SLU and their commitment to helping and inspiring others.
