SLU seals partnership with IIE for scholars from Myanmar

To solidify partnership for scholarships, Saint Louis University (SLU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Institute of International Education (IIE), the contractor for the Diversity and Inclusion Scholarship Program (DISP) funded by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), alongside scholars from Myanmar on 5 September 2024, at the Burgos Conference Room, Administrative Building, SLU Main Campus.

SLU hosts World Bank Group CPF Consultation Stakeholder Discussion for CAR

Affirming Saint Louis University’s (SLU) initiatives are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDG) and the advocacies of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (CICM), SLU hosted the World Bank Group (WBG) Country Partnership Framework (CPF) Consultation Stakeholder Discussion at the SLU Incubator for Research, Innovation, and Business (SIRIB) Center on 13 August 2024. The consultation aimed at collecting feedback on the strategic focus areas of the WBG Country Partnership Strategy for 2025-2028, taking into account its comparative strengths and the changing development landscape. 

SLU BEdS Harvests First Hydroponics Gardening Produce

In response to Laudato Si Goals 1 (Response to the Cry of the Earth) and 3 (Ecological Economics), aligned with the CICM Advocacies on Justice and Integrity of Creation, and in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), Saint Louis University – Basic Education School (SLU BEdS) has successfully harvested its first produce from its Hydroponics Gardening Project. This milestone, achieved on May 31, 2024, was made possible under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Gilbert B. Sales, the guidance of Dr. Joselito C. Gutierrez, and the unwavering support of Mr. Alejandro P. Pablico.
