The School of Accountancy, Management, Computing, and Information Studies (SAMCIS) students organization of Saint Louis University (SLU), Young Entrepreneurs’ Society (YES), engaged in the Blessing and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Grand Opening of Entrep Avenue on 10 October 2022 at Lot 3 Block 4 Ciudad Grande Phase 1 Bakakeng.
The event began at noon and lasted for one hour. It included a blessing by Father Salama and the ribbon cutting to officially open the Avenue. The event was attended by members of the YES community, local business owners, and other community members.
The organization has seen a significant increase in sales and visitors since the opening of Entrep Avenue, its new space for members to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and sell their products and services.
The event was also able to target the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being; SDG 5 – Gender Equality; SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities; SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities; SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions; and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.
