Psychosocial Processing to Frontliners (OCD-CAR and MSWDO Abra)
The SLU Sunflower Child and Youth Wellness Center (SCYWC) provided Psychosocial Processing (PSP) for the frontliners of government agencies in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development No. 3 – Good Health and Wellbeing, and the CICM Advocacy of Integrity of Creation, the SCYWC psychologists conducted the said PSP to the Office of Civil Defense-Cordillera Administrative Region (OCD-CAR) and Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Abra (MSWDO-Abra) on August 15-17, 2022 and November 2022, respectively.


Mental Health Talks
As part of the Sunflower Child and Youth Wellness Center’s advocacy in promoting children’s wellness, the Center accepted invitations as resource speakers to schools and non-government organizations in Baguio City.


In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development No. 3 – Good Health and Wellbeing, and the CICM Advocacy of Integrity of Creation, the SCYWC psychologists conducted seminars on children and youth’s mental health concerns to parents and caregivers of Saint Louis School of Pacdal, Inc. (November 18, 2022) and His Hearts Ministries (November 19, 2022).


Sunflower Children’s Salo-Salo
As part of the culminating activity for the 30th National Children’s Month with the theme: “Kalusugan, Kaisipan, at Kapakanan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!”, the Sunflower Child and Youth Center and Sunflower Centennial Halfway Home for Boys held a children’s day activity (Sunflower Children’s Salo-Salo) on December 17, 2022 at the SLU Maryheights Campus Oval grounds.
Participants are children from the Regional Haven for Women and Girls – DSWD-CAR, Halfway Home for Boys, and children of the SCYWC staff, volunteers, and SLU Community. In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development No. 3 – Good Health and Wellbeing, and the CICM Advocacy of Integrity of Creation, the activity aims to promote children’s good health and wellness as well as provide an opportune time for the children to socialize, develop camaraderie, and enjoy playing outdoor games with peers.
