With the aim to bring services closer to the community, the Rotaract Club of Baguio SLU – School of Medicine assisted the Red Cross Health Caravan on 10 and 24 September at Malcolm Square, Baguio City.
Spearheaded by Dr. Marciano Chulyao Jr., the group served 207 and 1016 people in the two-day campaign, offering health consultations, blood typing, bloodletting, blood pressure taking, random blood sugar testing, first aid, and optical eye check-ups. The event also rendered services such as consultations on the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Pag-ibig, Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, and Health Services Office.
The activity leans towards SDG 3 Good Health and Well-Being, 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, 10 Reduced inequalities, 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, and 17 Partnerships for Goals. It is also aligned with the CICM Advocacy of Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation, as well as CEAP JEEPGY values of Engaged Citizenship.
The Rotaract Club of Baguio SLU – SOM has joined the Red Cross’ Health Caravan a few times earlier this year, catering to patients all over the city of Baguio.
