Saint Louis University’s School of Engineering and Architecture Honor Society (SEAHS) commenced “Project MaTuto”, their educational tutoring initiative, on 22 and 23 February 2024, at the Otto Hahn Building, SLU Main Campus.
The initiative, which aims to provide mass tutorials to SEA students in preparation for their upcoming exams, is being arranged to be a regular activity. It’s set to take place for two consecutive days before every term exam week, in collaboration with Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers – JSLUC’s Peer Chetorials (PICHE-JSLUC).
The tutorials hosted by SEAHS members focused on Differential Calculus topics relevant to the preliminary period. Students delved into topics such as limits, continuity, basic differentiation rules, and applications of differential calculus. The interactive discussion encouraged tutees to ask questions and present problems for tutors to solve, fostering an engaging learning environment.
Buoyed by the success of this semester’s Project MaTuto, SEAHS aims to expand its reach, planning to include additional subjects. The initiative underscores SEAHS’ and PICHE-JSLUC’s commitment to supporting the academic success of their fellow students, cultivating a culture of collaborative learning within the School of Engineering and Architecture community.
This project is initiated in alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 17 (Partnership for the Goals), while also following the CICM Advocacy of Justice and Peace. (School of Engineering Honor Society)
