In preparation for the lighting of the Christmas Tree in the Main Campus of Saint Louis University (SLU), the School of Accountancy, Management, Computing, and Information Studies (SAMCIS) conducted a two-day fundraising event called Pistahan sa Devesse to champion sustainable development goals and advance strong organizations within the school. SAMCIS spearheaded the event last 28 and 29 November 2022 as concomitant to the Foundation Day of the University.
Along the Devesse Driveway were booths of displayed products accompanied by elaborative performances at the Amphitheater.
Volunteers, trainees, and officers of the Marketing Mixers (MM) participated in the event and demonstrated their marketing expertise in selling rice bowls, drinks, snacks, and merchandise. With people lining up and taking home pieces of the Marketing Mixers experience, the MM booth was the most visited. As it integrated the CICM Advocacy of Integrity of Creation, the activity also captured SDG 6: Clean and Water Sanitation, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, but most importantly SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure and SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals.
