Cultivating Minds, Empowering Resilience: SLU PEEP holds lecture series on Experiential Philosophy for Sustainable Futures

The Philosophy Enrichment Extension Program (PEEP) of the Philosophy Department at Saint Louis University (SLU) successfully conducted its near-to-end Lecture Series on 19 November 2025. The event welcomed its target participants—seminarians from Saint Francis Xavier Seminary—who visited SLU to engage in an enriching academic exchange. The seminarians attended a two-lecture series delivered by two distinguished faculty experts from the Department of Philosophy. These lectures provided not only philosophical insights but also opportunities for dialogue, reflection, and intellectual growth. 

SLU faculty research promoters participate in KABADANG A.C.H.I.E.V.E 2025

Through its commitment to innovative and transformative education, Saint Louis University (SLU) faculty research promoters participated in the KABADANG A.C.H.I.E.V.E 2025, a Research Publication Mentoring session by the Commission on Higher Education Cordillera Administrative Region (CHED-CAR) on 19 November 2025, hosted by SLU at the Fr. Theophile Verbist Hall, SLU Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC). 

JPIA-SLU members participate in Deloitte Tax Challenge 2026

The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants – Saint Louis University Chapter (JPIA-SLU) participated in the Deloitte Tax Challenge 2026, an international competition designed to enhance students’ knowledge of taxation and expose them to real-world issues and trends. The event was held virtually, with the submission of entries on 30 September 2025, and the national finals scheduled for October 2025. Representing SLU were four BS Accountancy 4 students: Ashanna Nicole G. Bautista, Airixzel L. Rillera, Jecy Mae Padre, and Neil Joshua T. Tigas.

SLU AGES conducts AY 2025-2026 Acquaintance Party

The Saint Louis University (SLU) Association of Geodetic Engineering Students (AGES) successfully held its annual Acquaintance Party for the academic year 2025-2026 on 16 November 2025 at the Otto Hahn Engineering Building, SLU main campus. The event’s objective was to promote socialization and familiarity among the students fostering an active community for active participation and a sense of belonging and camaraderie. It also bridged the relationship gap between the new members and the old, creating new friends.

Learning in Harmony: SLU–Neolouphis Philosophy Department conducts Outreach at Lourdes Subdivision Extension Barangay

The Saint Louis University (SLU)– New Louisian Philosophical Society (NEOLOUPHIS) of the Philosophy Department of the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) was featured and recognized on the official Facebook page of Barangay Lourdes Extension Subdivision, Baguio City for the children’s music and play teaching/tutorial outreach activity conducted on 15 November 2025. The event held was part of the organization’s Project Dunong – an outreach initiative under Project Pilosopo Kuwago that aims to enrich the minds of the youth.

Creative Writing Workshop marks the first collaboration of STELA student organizations

The School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) witnessed a milestone yesterday with the first-ever collaboration of various student organizations in a Creative Writing workshop. Spearheaded by the New Louisian Philosophical Society (NEOLOUPHIS) through Project Innovation. The event was held in partnership with the University Library and the American Corner Baguio, alongside the Communication Society (ComSoc), Political Science Academic Society (POSAS), and the Prime Movers Society (PRIMOSO).
