SLU conducts Focus Sessions on Extension Programs to promote Community Solidarity

From 8-12 October 2024, Saint Louis University (SLU) conducted focus sessions to orient different Schools in the University on the Manual Operating Procedures and Guidelines of community engagement and address concerns about extension programs across various departments, highlighting the university’s commitment to Binnadang (community solidarity) and the importance of service and volunteerism in enriching local communities.

SLU advances Quality Assurance Goals at AUN-QA International Conference in Vietnam

With its mission and advocacy to strengthen the university’s Quality Assurance mechanism and remain steadfast in its strategic goals and directions, Saint Louis University (SLU) sent two of its administrative officials, Dr. Joselito C. Gutierrez, Executive Assistant to the President; and Mr. Hector L. Martin, Director of the Office of Institutional Development and Quality Assurance (OIDQA), to the 2024 AUN-QA (Asean University Network – Quality Assurance) International Conference in Ton Duc Thang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 11–14 December 2024. 

SLU prevails at the 6th CMCI Academic Symposium

Saint Louis University (SLU) claimed victory in the Group Category during the 6th Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index (CMCI) Academic Symposium organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) held on 11 December 2024 at the Aboltiz Tech Space, Asian Institute of Management, Makati City. The symposium showcased the innovative research papers from various participating schools.

SLU conducts Orientation on employee policies and social legislations

Employees from the different schools and offices of Saint Louis University (SLU) attended the orientation– on different SLU employee policies and social legislations– organized by the Human Resources Department (HRD) on 09 December 2024 (two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and 10 December 2024 (one session in the morning) held at the Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, Diego Silang Building, SLU Main Campus.

SLU hosts the International Volunteers’ Day 2024 Celebration in CAR

In line with the theme, “Igniting Volunteer-led Innovation for Deep Economic and Social Transformation: Bolunterismo Tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas,” delegates from different Baguio-Benguet’s International volunteer organizations gathered at the Saint Louis University Incubator for Research, Innovation, and Business Center (SIRIB) to celebrate the International Volunteers’ Day on 06 December 2024. 

SLU IE students win Third Prize at Swiss Innovation Prize Competition

Three Industrial Engineering (IE) students from Saint Louis University (SLU) won Third Prize for the Prosperity Category of the prestigious Swiss Innovation Prize Competition 2024 through their paper entitled, “Project IE: Innovative Food Process Manufacturing with learning technology and Dynamic Pricing System” held by the Embassy of Switzerland and the Swiss Cultural Fund on 21 November 2024.
