SLU-STEM Participates in NAST-UP, NISMED Futures Thinking Workshop

In a significant stride toward advancing the landscape of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education in the Philippines, Saint Louis University (SLU) made a noteworthy contribution to the recently concluded Workshop on the Futures of Philippine STEM Education, which took place from 7 to 9 November 2023, at the Science Teacher Training Center (STTC), UP NISMED, Diliman, Quezon City.

SLU, Mining Operations sign MOA to Forge Engineering Careers for Louisians

Saint Louis University’s (SLU) Chemical & Mining Engineering Department welcomed guests from Oceanagold Philippines Inc. (OGPI), Coral Bay Nickel Corporation (CBNC) and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau as they gathered in Sirib Center at the Otto Hahn Building, last 14 November 2023 for the signing of the memorandum of agreement and conferring of grants ceremony. 

Rotaract Club of Baguio SLU-SOM extends support in Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Program 

In line with combating the rising prevalence of diabetic retinopathy and related vision-threatening conditions, the Rotaract Club of Baguio Saint Louis University – School of Medicine (SLU-SOM) took center stage in a collaborative health initiative. Partnering with the Baguio Eye Doctor’s Clinic, headed by Dr. Ars Mondiguing, and Middle Quezon, represented by Dr. Anna Banta, District Health Officer, Rotaract SLU-SOM assisted in the recent Diabetic Retinopathy Screening and free reading glasses giving in October 2023. 

SLU BEdS at the forefront of Cellular Ecology Advancements in International Scientific Gathering

Saint Louis University Basic Education School (SLU BEdS) showcased its commitment to scientific education by actively participating in the 6th International and 14th Annual National Scientific Meeting of the Philippine Society for Cell Biology, Inc. The event, held at the Baguio Convention and Cultural Center from 26 to 27 October 2023, was centered around the theme, “Cell Ecology: Understanding Cell-to-Environment Interactions & Mechanisms.”
